Miramar PAL Basketball

 

Junior Season: 8-10 and 11-13 divisions

Games played on week nights and Saturdays; practices are determined by coaches.

$95.00 for Miramar Residents & $114.00 for Non-residents with uniform included.

The program is discounted to ONLY $75 for the first 30 players registered in each division. This is the total cost of the league and includes the uniform.

Coach Price: Registration for players whose parent is volunteering to be the HEAD COACH of a team are discounted to ONLY $50. (only 1 head coach per team)

Whether you’re the next Lebron James or just giving hoops a “shot” for the first time, come out and have some fun!

Our Youth Basketball programs are played at Sunset Lakes Community Center in West Miramar, as well as the Youth Enrichment Center in East Miramar. The cost of the program is $95 for residents and $115 for non-residents (including uniform). Discounts are given to the first 30 registrants in each division. Games are played week nights inside the gym.  Practice times and locations are determined by the volunteer coaches.

We break up our teams according to age (all divisions are co-ed.). We have 3 basketball divisions; 8-10, 11-13, and 12-14. We run the 8-10 and 11-13 divisions during the same season (starts January and June) and the 12-14 division during a separate season (starts April and October). Each team will play a minimum of 8 games not including playoffs (divisions with higher enrollment will play up to 10 games), not including playoffs. The top four teams in each division will advance to the playoffs and compete in an East vs. West city playoff series. Every player will receive an award for their participation. The program lasts approximately 8-12 weeks (depending on enrollment) and is concluded by All-Star Games and a Coaches vs. Coaches game.

Please note that the above start dates could potentially change. Registration always takes place at least 30 days prior to a program starting, flyers and registration forms will be available at the facilities. Once registration has begun, players can register anytime at the facility during operating hours(registraitons are not accepted online). All players must bring the required paperwork listed on the bottom of the program flyer. No players will be called prior to the player draft, please review other detailed information about the program and the draft on the Q&A sheet you receive when you register (also available in the “downloads” section of our website). New and returning players must bring a copy of their birth certificate, proof of residency, and a check or money order.

19th Annual Miramar PAL Golf Tournament1379104203_kolf

Golfers! Come out and enjoy a spectacular day of golfing at the beautiful Bonaventure Golf Club in Weston Florida on Friday, November 17, 2017.

In addition to golfing, a BBQ grilled lunch and drinks are provided throughout the day.  Following is an amazing buffet dinner at the end of the night, included with the admission cost.

In addition to our Indoor Soccer program at Sunset Lakes Community Center, we offer outdoor soccer at Miramar Regional Park.

REGISTRATION AT SUNSET LAKES COMMUNITY CENTER

Registration dates September 10th, 2015– residents only
September 17th and 24th : (resident & non-resident) non-residents add 20%

• Girls and Boys Divisions available.
• Pee Wee-U18 play “in-house”.   U14 and older will also play outside teams.
• Practice begins in Dec/Jan, Games Jan-April.
• Please see age chart for division placement.
• “In-house” games take place on Saturdays with practices on weeknights. U14/U18 schedule varies by coach & division.
•  $125.00 for Pee Wee-U12.  $145 for U14/U17.  (Non-residents an additional 20 percent)

Our outdoor soccer program is played at Regional Park in West Miramar. The cost of the program is $125 for  Pee Wee-U12, and $145 for U14/U18 (price includes uniform). Non-residents must pay an additional 20 percent. Registration is at Sunset Lakes Community Center from 9am-12pm on September 10th, 17th and 24th. Late registrations will be taken if space permits, please email AELee@miramarpd.org or call 954-602-4783 for late registration availability. We have separate girls and boys divisions available(Pee Wee is co-ed) for ages 3-18. Practices and games start in December/January.

Divisions Pee-Wee through U12 play “in-house” and only at Regional Park. Divisions U14 and older play home games at Regional Park and away games vs other clubs at their fields. Please see the age chart for division placement and Q&A sheet for specifics about the older division. All divisions play 10 games, the U6 and older divisions will end with a playoff at the end of the season. Every player will receive an award for their participation. The program lasts approximately 15 weeks. Flyers will be posted on Facebook and our website in September. Please review other detailed information about the program on the Q&A sheet. All registrants must provide a copy of their birth certificate/passport, proof of residency, and a check or money order.

The “Hangin’ with 5-0” program is a 10 week summer prevention program in Miramar, designed to save at risk teens from engaging in delinquent behavior.

The program is operated by members of law enforcement, and they use a series of positive reinforcements and incentives.
Students must be referred by School Resource Officers in order to be accepted into the program.

Miramar PAL Indoor Soccer

8 game Indoor Soccer League (not including playoffs) 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 year old divisions

Beat the heat and keep your soccer skills sharp with our Summer and Fall Indoor Soccer programs.

Our Indoor Soccer program is played at Sunset Lakes Community Center. The cost of the program is $115 for residents and $135 for non-residents (price includes uniform). Discounts are given to the first 30 registrants in each division. Discount information can be found on the program flyer. Games are played week nights and Saturdays inside the gym. Indoor Soccer is played with a heavier ball that has less bounce and focuses more on ball handling and passing techniques than outdoor soccer. Please research “Futsal” to find out more about the playing style of this type of program.
